LAURA & OLLIE: REAL BRIDE STORY

It was the very first venue we visited also it was everything we have ever dreamed of.

The country house hotel was built with a modern main hall along with a very traditional sitting area with gorgeous gardens resulting in the river where many guests enjoyed sitting. As a summer wedding, we chose soft blush and peach colors for the palette and teamed this with ivory. The bridesmaids wore floaty blush bridesmaid dresses and all sorts of the groomsmen had the same color within their tie pocket squares.

How have you personalized your entire day?

We desired to keep our big day elegant, therefore we chose to decorate the venue with fresh flower bombs through the aisle and tables and included a hanging floral ceiling decoration above our main table and registrar table comprising white and blush peonies, hydrangeas, and roses. We also decorated the venue with a lot of cylinder vases full of water and floating candles.

Tell us that which was important for you for your big day…

The most significant thing for me personally and Ollie to possess at our wedding as friends and family. We both lost our fathers in the past so it was extremely important to us that people included them in some manner. I decided to have a small picture of my father entwined during my bouquet, so I felt just like a part of him was beside me when I walked on the aisle and took my vows.

Our wedding tables were named after our favorite countries that people visited since being together plus a couple of photos. We opted to possess charity badges as our favors that have been the British Heart Foundation and Prostate Cancer in honor of our dads in addition to a short poem about how they were so missed. We also had family wedding photos displayed on our gift table on our parent's and grandparents’ big day.

Can you describe the wedding dress shopping experience?

The dress hunting began annually before our wedding. I always liked fishtail and fitted dresses. I and my mum visited over 20 dress shops and in all likelihood tried 60 dresses on. I was very available to all styles however the fitted dresses soon became my focus. Up until this time, no dresses had stood out for me but I liked all of these dresses, particularly the dress Teegan from feeltimes dresses Collection.

Everybody fell deeply in love with this dress. It had a lot of detail, sparkled wonderfully and I loved the fullness from the bottom of the dress. All our wedding guests commented how stunning the gown was.

Any advice for future brides?

My advice to future brides is always to make sure you possess backup footwear if you are wearing high heel shoes. I teamed my liven up with some gorgeous Sophia Webster shoes however I was glad for that lower-heeled shoes if this came to nighttime. I also provided sandals and toiletry essentials within the bathrooms for all of the guests which transpired a treat.
