I was working at the wedding and he was a guest! John romantically proposed in my experience in New York on my small birthday in 2016.
The dress I had I believe for my big day ended up being the entire opposite of what I wound up wearing! I visited 4 wedding gown boutiques and tried on so, a lot of dresses. I wound up crying thinking I would never find my dream dress… I promise I'm not usually that dramatic, I just found dress shopping quite stressful and thought it might be easier to find what I had set I believe.
I wound up finding my dream vintage wedding dresses at feeltimes.co.uk. It was my mum who picked the gown out that I can try on. I didn't enjoy it around the hanger but was giving it a go on to please her. Funnily enough, when I first viewed it on me within the mirror, I knew instantly it was the gown for me. My mum shed a tear when I came our putting it on and so I knew this was the gown for me. It is a classic fitted dress produced from a satin-like fabric by having an off-the-shoulder neckline. I loved that it would be a fit and flare style and it has buttons in the back.
I paired the gown with a subtle diamanté 2-tiered satin-trimmed veil and pearl drop earring. I just wanted something quite simple to show off the gown.
John and I got married at Darver Castle in County Louth, Ireland encompassed by our nearest and dearest. The Castle is a romantic, fairytale wedding venue dating to the 12th Century with beautiful grounds for that photos. We didn't genuinely have any theme as they say as I spent whatever money we required to ensure we'd a good band and a great venue with excellent food to help keep all our guests happy and also to make the day an unforgettable event.
We love talking with our real feel times brides to discover all about the dream dress shopping experience and which dress they picked and why.
