  •  With 2 options appearing before you:  both file corruption and network connections, and network connections only.  
  • Select the first option as it will detect corrupted or damaged files and help fix error -6109. Then, enter the administrator password when asked.
  •  It then asks if the company file is on the workstation or the server. 
  • Opt for "Yes" if you are using Enterprise Documents on your server and "No" if you are using the Workstation. 
  • Go for the "Continue" button.

  •  Replicate the data file to the desktop or to another location apart from its source.

  •  Afterward, look for the company file. Make sure both the transaction log file and the company file should have the same name but must have different extensions.
  • Just rename the company file with the (.QBW.ND) file extension. Add OLD at the end of the name.
  •  After making a right click choose the Rename option. Don’t delete the extension which is part of the file.
  • Rename the transaction log file.TLG file extension which needs to be done after this one.
  • Once you’re done Exit the system.
  • Open QuickBooks and try to log in to the company file. Log in to the company file open QuickBooks.
