This is the beauty of Runescape. The game must release quests that can be up to or even surpass the quality of earlier quests. However, Guthix Still Sleeps is still my top quest and it'll be six years old next month. Quests today are focusing too much on the setting (Freneskae).

There were quests made available for a particular purpose - an entire quest was dedicated to Zaros' return and was heavily hyped. There was no mystery about what the outcome of the quest would be, and the lead up to a revealing or shocking conclusion is (in my view) more satisfying than knowing what would happen when you finished the quest.

In the lobby the first thing you noticed was a giant banner saying "Zaros Returns!
