TBF Final Fantasy is sub only. It's all fine if you purchase the ESO sub. They're half the cost of WOW Classic TBC Gold FF expansions. They are also released twice as frequently, making it extremely competitive.
Shadowbringers, the critically acclaimed FFXIV expansion which is also a huge hit. It's been listed among the top Final Fantasy stories over the past fifteen years. This is the highest praise I've ever heard for an ESO story.
Just finished the base and I loved every second of it. I don't feel the need to rush , as Ilevel sync makes it difficult to finish older content. The fact that there are other activities than murder hoboing it up, such as chocobo racing and so on, is a great benefit. My group of friends who have completed dungeons together won't quit on a wipe, and they will happily assist you when you require it.
I'm playing FF right now, but I'm not sure I have a convincing argument to ignore ESO. Both are very enjoyable each in their own way. Final Fantasy strikes me as more of a social game and the storyline is comparable to any main line Final Fantasy game. ESO is, on the other hand, allows you to completely immerse yourself in the world. ESO can be a great way to get involved in the world when you are in a position to recognize your Nirn. The issue that is causing friction for a lot of people tends to be combat. FF has a feel that is similar to WoW. ESO feels more like GW2 And later the rotations in ESO start to seem a bit sloppy and not just from buy TBC Classic Gold a length standpoint, but rather at an execution point.
