I highly doubt Blizzard is any more effective than Jagex at bot fighting that in itself is ineffective. While I can appreciate pride in stats and how long it took, let's not be too naive. Grinding doesn't mean much. It doesn't really take any sort of OSRS gold effort or skill simply a free mind and willingness to waste time doing repetitive tasks.

This is why there are bots. Runescape is so boring and most people aren't willing to do it. They want to play and have fun. Me, I mainly want to quest, but the reqs can sometimes involve serious grinding. If it wasn't for my own personal experience and cared about the lore(something most players do not appear to) I probably wouldn't be playing now because of it.

I believe that increasing xp alone would make the game dull. This will require changes to how skills and training, not only the xp. Engage players more and be more involved. It's difficult to imagine how I could do this. Make effigies accessible and easier to buy RuneScape gold use at lower levels. Give quests much larger XP rewards. ... and that's all.
