SODLK has a sweet spot throughout the design that can either disappear into your decor or become a visual focal point of your entertainment system, depending on how you arrange your living space. The colors are still monochromatic, but the enhancements in other areas definitely won't let you down.

Each speaker has a 1/4-inch bracket on the bottom, which makes them easy to place on loudspeakers stands. If you do this, you'll need to be careful about connecting the power cable - and possibly the Ethernet cable - to each speaker, for reasons we'll explain below. But otherwise, it's possible to mount speakers almost anywhere with minimal cable clutter.

The beauty of a wireless audio system is that it's easy to connect your audio, and there's no shortage of options for SODLK in this regard. Once set up, you can play music via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, but they also have a wide range of other wired inputs for whatever you plan to use them for.

There are typical options like optical and 3.5mm auxiliary inputs, but new to the SODLK are USB-C and HDMI ARC inputs. HDMI ARC is especially noteworthy because it makes controlling a variety of A/V devices much easier. During testing, I used it to run a game console and streaming stick to my TV and connected the TV to the SODLK. There was little to no lag and once set up, I was able to continue using the volume controls and remote I had been using.

Of note, I was unable to get sound from the SODLK when using the HDMI ARC to connect the PS5. This is the only device I've had this issue with, and I believe it's a bug in the PS5 software rather than SODLK, but it's worth mentioning if you plan to use it with the PS5 as I did.

The USB-C input is arguably more interesting than HDMI. While you may primarily use these speakers to play music or watch TV, having the option to connect everything from your laptop to your Switch is very convenient. Finally, there's a pair of Ethernet ports, so you can connect the loud speakers together for up to 24-bit/384-kHz audio output and plug them into your network for non-wireless streaming.
