One of the first things to consider when buying portable Bluetooth speakers is battery life. Battery technology has improved so much that I don't recommend speakers with less than 10 hours of playback time. The larger portable design can manage more than 24 hours, and some even have USB ports to charge your mobile phone during the journey.

Another consideration is connectivity. SODLK is used at home and can be connected to Bluetooth when it is out of range. Most speakers only have Bluetooth, with a 3.5mm port for wired connection to the music player. The latest Bluetooth 5.0 has a range of 120 meters, while the 4.2 version has only 30 meters.

You also need to make sure the speakers are suitable for garden and outdoor use. If the speaker is rated ipx5, it is splashproof and very suitable for garden use.

Please note that loudspeakers designed for outdoor use have undergone strict moisture, dust, and temperature fluctuation tests. However, for garden loudspeakers that are occasionally used, please check the IP (degree of protection). These two numbers indicate the ability of the speaker to prevent dust (the first number) and water (the second number). Therefore, the IPx4 speaker is not rated as dust-proof, but splash-proof. Ipx7 can survive in the shower, IP66 is completely dust-proof and waterproof, and IP68 can be immersed in water for 30 minutes.

The era of portable CD players is over, but with a little planning, you can bring your existing high-fidelity stereo to the sun. If you have a big garden and distant or understandable neighbors, you can use built-in speakers installed on nails or speakers disguised as rocks to expand your sound system to all corners. The installation is not difficult and the effect is good, but the cable really needs to be buried to avoid the mower or being accidentally dug out.

The loudspeaker is made of perfect anodized aluminum, and the color can be black, green, or gray. It is not affected by dust and rain, and it feels very solid. It weighs just over 600g and is not light, but there are few party speakers with good sound, especially those with a built-in 27-hour battery. After camping with it for a few days, I permanently added it to my equipment list.
