Childhood sweethearts Jodie, a web-based creator and blogger, and Jordan, who works best for the RAF, planned the marriage themselves, which happened on 22nd April 2018.

“I find the peony and blush suede combined with wood sage and sea salt as my perfume during the day. Peony and blush suede continues to be my favorite for a few years so I desired to make it a little different for my big day and the combination just worked perfectly.”

Capturing all the romantic gorgeousness on camera was a Peterborough-based wedding photographer, whose dreamy photography style won the pair over.

“Tom seems to take the most breathtaking images that almost seem like they are staged much more real, you’re just enjoying your big day. I’ve never witnessed anyone capture emotion like he seems to do. I’m so pleased we were able to have him as our photographer.”

With blush pinks and ivory being the primary color themes during the day, Jodie went for and classic look using the styling, using structured floral arrangements to increase the romantic vibe. In keeping using the romantic ambiance, the bride chooses a timeless shoulder-fitted dress.

“I just loved the way the dress looked on me immediately. I never thought I would have that feeling when attempting on a wedding gown. I had tried on several dresses which were plain lace, that is what I thought I wanted, but the moment I saw the gown sparkle underneath the shop lights, I loved it. The fit seemed to be very feminine, but classy at the same time.”

“I wanted a mixture of beautiful roses with a lot of other greenery. I showed our florist a few photos and allow her to take it from there.”

“We loved the oak framed building using the greenery, and the way the ceremony, wedding breakfast, and reception could all take place in the same place. We also liked how private it had been. We knew it might just be us with these friends and family.”

“It seemed to be the venue that gave us the majority of the inspiration behind the theme of the marriage. There was a lot of beautiful greenery and lightweight, therefore we decided to just increase the of that with floral arrangements and candles. I love burning candles and I loved the romantic feel they gave towards the venue.” Go

Jodie’s bridesmaids were an image in full-length blush pink bridesmaid dresses from Coast and every wore a bracelet, a present from Jodie around the morning of the marriage, as well as a set of simple diamond stud earrings.

“My brother Jake walked beside me down the aisle to Canon in D and played with a live string quartet. We chose this because we thought it sounded beautiful and I didn’t want anything too emotional as I was scared I would cry a tad too much! We walked out from the ceremony to One Day Like This by Elbow. That song means a great deal to us also it felt just like a more upbeat song to begin a day of celebrations with.”

Meeting aged just 15 and 17 through mutual friends, Jordan proposed to Jodie on the 5th anniversary in 2016 at The Louvre gardens in Paris. They then were built with a 22-month engagement before the marriage, time enough to plan the day of their dreams.

“Our cake was made by a family friend. The top tier was coffee and walnut flavor, the center was chocolate, and also the bottom was vanilla. My auntie added fresh flowers around the side around the morning of the marriage and we added a cake topper. Our theme was greenery and I thought fresh flowers would compliment that nicely. My husband and I aren’t interested in fondant icing therefore we went for any white chocolate ganache instead.”

“Our favors were personalized cookies produced by myself and my mum – a few days before the marriage! We wanted our guests to possess something edible like a little favor, plus they seemed to drop well!”

“I have a lot of special memories from your day. Getting ready with my bridesmaids and mum around the morning of the marriage was amazing. My brother came up towards the room where I was getting ready along with a Beyonce song playing at the time. My brother inquired about looking at my phone and, like a wedding present, Jordan had bought us tickets to determine Beyonce and Jay Z. It was just such good timing along with a really special surprise!”

“Seeing all of our guests smiling at us as we got married seemed to be special and also the moment Jordan and I had together soon after the ceremony, where we simply couldn’t stop smiling.”

After the pizza was devoured and speeches over, it had been time for that party to start, kicked off having a first dance with the newlyweds.

“We chose Grow Old With Me by Tom Odell for the first dance song. We selected it because we now have always really liked the song and also the words resemble our relationship as we’ve been together since I was a teenager. Plus, we liked it wasn’t fast enough and romantic, it had been fun and also got everyone else up and dancing too.”

Words Of Wedded Wisdom

“Don’t allow the morning of your big day to be stressful whatsoever. Make sure things are done, have a friend or professional set everything up within the venue, and merely relax. The morning is a special time together with your loved ones also it should be exciting and fun without any worries.”
