A lot of MMOs use passive hireling or companion quests to Elyon Gold gain items that you do not want to be physically collecting. Hirelings are sent out to complete a quest and, after a couple of hours, they'll return with a few gold coins, a potion or two, or perhaps an item of lower-level equipment. Certain MMOs, such as Neverwinter has a complex crafting system for hirelings as well as other MMOs that even offer you coins or points in exchange for your efforts.
Through Luminus Battles, Elyon takes this method of passive loot generation to an extreme. You can use the potential that is your Luminus for up to eight hours every day. In this period you'll be able to watch your Luminus constantly fights creatures from the dungeon you choose to play. While fighting, every win (there is no chance of defeat) is a possibility of earning an amount of loot. Alongside a base amount of gold and XP, the rewards could include orbs for XP, chests of gold, as well as crafting materials.
Elyon's Luminus battles might appear to be like normal hireling quests however there's a caveat. In contrast to other MMOs which all this is happening in the background when you're out on quests or even when you are playing offline, Luminus Battles are an active part of Elyon. It's not just about taking your Luminus to combat and then sacrificing their passive abilities while doing other things. Your character continues to do combat, and the Luminus acting to power the character. To put it simply, Luminus battles are a simple mini-game of auto-combat.
Other MMOs take a more aggressive approach to combat AFK (away away from the keyboard) players, and limit the time an individual can spend inactive before taking them off to allow another player to use the space available on the server. In addition to Luminus Battles and crafting (as I wrote about in my review in process), Elyon actively encourages players to log into their accounts even when they are away from their computer. One of the things I do prior to going to work is begin my Luminus battle of the day. When I eat dinner or go out to do errands, I make my character begin crafting using the resources I have gathered during my exploring. As I write this article, Elyon is running in the background, with my character auto-fishing.
As a casual player I'm not particularly a fan of the Elyon Gold for sale AFK aspects. I don't expect to be on highest of the leaderboards and it's a given that the most skilled players will have better equipment than I am able to get in the amount of time I play. But, Luminus battles and crafting provide me with the feeling that I'm not just playing Elyon with a limited time frame. Whatever the gold and XP gains are, I'm constantly expanding my character as long as I'm logged in to begin my AFK tasks. When I do find the time for longer sessions I don't need to spend all of my time collecting because I have an extra stash of resources available to use.
