Filling machines have various forms due to different packaging containers, packaging materials, and filling processes, and there are many classification methods. Next, BEILT will introduce the four classification methods of filling machines in detail.

1 Filling machines are divided into packaging containers

(1) Rotary filling machine. The container to be filled is sent to the filling machine by the conveying system or manually, and the container is driven by the turntable of the filling machine to rotate around the main vertical axis for continuous filling. Gland.

This filling machine is most widely used in the food and beverage industry, such as the filling of soda, juice, beer, and milk. It is composed of the valve, large turntable, transmission system, body, automatic control, and other parts. The filling valve is the key to ensuring the normal operation of the filling machine.

(2) Linear filling machine. Filling containers move in a straight line and fill in brows. Whenever an empty container is sent, it is pushed forward by the push plate once, and when it is sent to the bottom of the filling pipe, the valve is opened for filling, and the operation is performed intermittently.

Compared with the rotary filling machine, this kind of filling machine has a simpler structure and is more convenient to manufacture, but it occupies a relatively large area and moves intermittently, and the improvement of production capacity is also limited to a certain extent, so it is generally only used for airless liquid materials. The filling of the class has great limitations.

2 Filling machines are classified according to the characteristics of packaging materials

(1) Liquid filling machine. This filling machine is a semi-automatic liquid filling machine, suitable for medicine, daily chemical, food, pesticide, and special industries. It is ideal equipment for filling liquids. This filling machine is a fully automatic quantitative liquid filling machine, which is suitable for filling various oils, such as lubricating oil and edible oil.

(2) Paste filling machine. This filling machine is a semi-automatic paste filling machine, which is an ideal filling and filling equipment for the daily chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, food industry, ink industry, and coating industry.

(3) Powder filling machine. This packaging machine is an automatic quantitative powder filling machine, which is suitable for quantitative packaging of powdery and granular materials such as pesticides, veterinary drugs, premixes, additives, milk powder, starch, condiments, enzymes, and feed.

(4) Granule filling machine. As shown in Figures 4-7, the filling machine is a granule filling machine, suitable for packaging pesticides, veterinary drugs, seeds, traditional Chinese medicine, feed, desiccant, salt, monosodium glutamate, soup, tea, etc., as well as free-flowing granular products.

3 Filling machines are divided by filling method

(1) Atmospheric pressure filling machine. The atmospheric pressure filling machine is filled by the weight of the liquid under atmospheric pressure. This type of filling machine is divided into two types: timed filling and constant volume filling. It is only suitable for filling low-viscosity and gas-free liquids, such as milk and wine.

(2) Pressure filling machine. The pressure filling machine is filled at a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure, and can also be divided into two types: one is that the pressure in the liquid storage tank is equal to the pressure in the bottle, and the filling is performed by the liquid flowing into the bottle by its own weight, which is called Isobaric filling; the other is that the pressure in the liquid storage tank is higher than the pressure in the bottle, and the liquid flows into the bottle by the pressure difference. This method is mostly used in high-speed production lines. The pressure filling machine is suitable for filling liquids containing gas, such as beer, soda, champagne, etc.

(3) Negative pressure filling machine. The negative pressure filling machine fills the bottle when the pressure in the bottle is lower than the atmospheric pressure. This kind of filling machine has a simple structure, and high efficiency, and can adapt to a wide range of viscosity of materials, such as oil, syrup, fruit wine, etc.

4 Filling machines are classified according to the degree of automation

(1) Manual filling machine. This machine is a small-dose filling machine, which has the function of an integrated filling machine for paste and liquid. It has the advantages of simple structure, convenient operation, economical and practical, accurate capacity, and so on.

(2) Semi-automatic filling machine. Semi-automatic liquid filling machine, in the filling of liquid, the filling process is completed automatically, and it is mostly used for the filling of gas-containing liquids.

(3) Fully automatic filling machine. This type of automatic filling machine. It can be further divided into a single-machine automatic machine and a combined automatic machine (which can include continuous cleaning, filling, capping, labeling, boxing, and other processes). The most common automatic filling is mainly based on mechanical transmission control.
