Melvor Idle strips away the graphics and 3D worlds of RuneScape and similar MMOs and distills it down to a simple idle game that relies on menus in which players can manage their inventory OSRS Gold For Sale, skills and quests. In combat, completing battles or winning will earn you XP as well as loot that is then invested into whichever skills tree or upgrades players wish to purchase, and performing repetitive tasks like crafting or woodcutting yields each of them benefits.
Malcolm has played RuneScape since he was a kid, and has also dabbled in numerous of the best idle games, such as Clicker Heroes, Cookie Clicker and NGU Idle. Although he liked them but felt that the genre could be doing more to make it rewarding in the same way to Jagex's flagship RPG.
"So, I decided to create my own, never really imagining it would even be published, let alone be so popular," he tells GamesIndustry.biz. "I was trying to make something different from the conventional idle game mould and something that had a lot of features and allowed players to have a real options in how they would progress in their game, rather than just increase the number of players on a daily basis.
After thinking about an idea bit in a closed room, I started meshing concepts and mechanics of classic MMOs and the well-known idle game formula, creating something that can be played by casually and on the go and integrated into the player's hectic life."
He goes on to say: "While the numbers and stats stuff isn't what all players really enjoy about MMOs however, it's the thing that gamers who are hardcore tend to gravitate towards after the exploration is over. As it's often so central to what the longest term players' focus is it was logical to integrate this feature as an integral part of Melvor's game's concept old school rs gold. Furthermore, it blends perfectly with design elements common in many idle games."
