Music tutor Zoe married Glen, a Skipper around 1 September 2018 within the gardens of around the Isle of Mull then a reception party at The couple first met inside a pub on Iona, when Zoe went to work around the island for any summer season after university.
To choose her wedding outfit, Zoe visited Glasgow and decided on a beautiful silk slip dress in the brilliantly creative On the surface of the slip she wore an ideal Chantilly lace over-dress from The oyster color from the slip gives such wonderful contrast to the intricate, botanical-inspired lace.
"I wanted an easy boho vintage style dress, which I could wear effortlessly. I loved the color from the slip and just how the slip looked using the Chantilly lace outrageous."
To her hair, Zoe added an Alice band of fresh, bright blooms from a florist. To complete her look, Zoe added a lace-trimmed veil.
Zoe and her dad (whom Zoe describes as 'the very best person ever) walked on the aisle together, and Zoe carried a glorious bouquet of summer blooms, with neutral colors combined with bursts of orange and pink, beautiful fern leaves along with other greenery.
"I wanted plenty of greenery with pops of bright colors (that are my favorite), we didn't choose a color theme but orange was the color to pull every aspect of the marriage together."
Zoe, her dad, and also the rest of the bridal party made their way to Achaban House in fashion, inside a Jaguar lent by Zoe's Uncle Bob.
The lovely flower girls walked on the aisle first, wearing simple ivory flower girl dresses, with colorful Fair Isle cardigans, hand-knitted by Zoe’s mum. Next came the pageboys wearing trousers and sweet animal print shirts with vests, again hand-knitted by Zoe's talented mum.
Glen wore an incredible three-piece Scottish tweed suit – such a striking contrast between your dark blue jacket and trousers and orange waistcoat, along having a mustard yellow knitted tie.
"Glen asked if I could walk on the aisle to his favorite tune, Iona Boat Song, that was played by two people in our band around the fiddle and guitar."
The couple's ceremony was conducted by Veronica MacDougall from Argyll and Bute Council, and together they wrote their very own vows to express to one another.
"We both desired to say the same and both felt our vows portrayed what we should want our marriage to become. Here is the last portion of our vows: 'I promise to cherish you and also hold you in the highest regard, to become your partner and equal in most things. I promise to like you in happy times and in bad – Completely and forever.'"
"We designed and decorated all of the venues ourselves using the amazing assistance of our family and friends. It was this type of fun and rewarding some time and extended the marriage celebrations by at least four days!"
Instead of wedding favors, Zoe and Glen chose to use the money they'd have allocated to them to donate to charity instead.
"We find the Railway Children, a non–profit charity who helps vulnerable youngsters within the UK, India, and Africa, who find themselves around the streets because of neglect and abuse in care or your own home."
"Honestly, the entire day would be a perfect dream and a lot of fun! Three random highlights are –1. My music students (age 7-13) surprised me by having a rendition of All You Need Is Love, including violin and saxophone! 2. The wedding ceremony. 3. Our first dance am much fun, and thus was the rest of the evening."
