RuneScape is important on a personal level because of three tiny points it was the first MMORPG I ever played OSRS Gold, the first game that I can be described as addicted to; and the first game that can be described as 'online', though far from the top. But, it's three milestones in gaming that shouldn't be overlooked.
After a brief, basic tutorial on the aptly named Tutorial Island after which I found myself stranded in the uninteresting yet quite enjoyable riverside city of Lumbridge. Every new player is taught the fundamental mechanics of the game, including how to light a fire, or deposit money into the bank. It's important to know that in RuneScape all players start on the same playing field (weirdly in the 3rd level).
There's no set classes or predetermined builds or classes, just skills, with the end goal of making sure that each person reaches the maximum of 99. However, since it's neither practical and perhaps not for the majority of us so it's better to be specialized in a small number of. However, the total person or level of combat has an upper limit to one hundred and 126 (or 120 in RuneScape Classic). I think I got to an 82-level before making the decision to end my day. Maybe school started up again.
There are five kinds of attacks to master: stab the slash, crush, and ranged. At first, my measly prey included goblins and chickens. However, there's plenty of larger and more deadly fodder there. Predators, too. Sure, RuneScape is a long learning curve to begin with Old School RS Gold. Once I had those basic capabilities mastered, I could let it all go and I soon found it difficult to step away from my computer.
