Lets say you OSRS Items encounter one of your targets, as there are many hiding spots all over the thieving area you may observe a hollow tree and click on"hide in shrub" and if you do click on that choice you will jump into the tree along with your icon in the map will vanish. Ok since your goal is in website you look on the map to see exactly where he's (you target shows up as a purple dot on your map). Now together with your target list and item viewer on your thieving bar on your principal list of choices (inv. Q points and such) there is a meter which shows you if your goal is in range of you or not.

Now lets say you're a level 10 thieving along with your target was still a few paces away. Since you are such a low level your only alternative is to get very close to him (an din doing so, allowing him see ) and try to pickpocket him. Now lets say you are a level 80 thieving. As you are such a top level burglar, you have much more choices of how you're going to sneak out of your goal.

Lets say you select a way were you own a hawk ( The hawk would be a new summoning familiar specially built for this game) recognizable and you send it out toward your goal to try and steal the thing he is carrying in his inventory. Additionally, because the way of thieving you are using involves not you, but another monster to try to steal the thing from your competitors inventory, you can rune from sight of your goal so that he does not understand that your hawk familiar is about to take his thing and bring it back to you.

In case a familiar succeeds he'll bring back the thing that he stole from your opponent and he'll have four more uses from the five that he began with. If he fails he will not get the item and he will automatically dismiss himself out of your control and he will even leave the title of his master on a burnt piece of buy RS gold paper so that your goal will know who is after him and will be prepared for you next time.
