Meet our lovely couple, university lecturer Nicky, and Alex, who's a civil servant.

They celebrated their marriage on 15 June 2019 at Hardcastle Crags in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. This historic, early nineteenth-century cotton mill is encompassed by woodland, and it is now cared for by the National Trust, who's.

For her dress, Nicky opted for any pre-loved design, she was available. It suited her beautifully, using its simple, stylish slip design, keyhole detailing, and delicate connectors.

"I liked the form and simplicity of the dress. My favorite thing was possibly the back detail; low cut with ties that hung in the shoulders."

The bridesmaids looked wonderful in an assortment of green bridesmaid dresses of their choosing, and I love the mix of shades, from vibrant emerald right through to deep forest green and sage. They also wore their very own shoes, in addition to dried flowers in their hair.

"We met whenever we were both living and dealing in London in 2013. One of my buddies was looking for a new flatmate and put to live, and she or he ended up relocating with Alex. We accustomed to seeing one another around but it had been a while before we got talking to one another."

"We got engaged in Croatia in 2017 when I was pregnant with this little girl."

The mill staircase was sweetly adorned with bunches of dried flowers so that as everyone enjoyed the drinks reception, and games, the ceremony room was transformed into an attractive reception space.

Fairylights and bunting hung in the ceiling, whilst below, rustic wooden trestle tables were set for dinner and dotted using the soft glow of tealights, in addition to more pretty dried flowers.

"We made place cards and table numbers ourselves having a bit of the aid of our arty friends. The table plan was written with an old antique mirror that people bought used."

As well as the sweet treats, there is also a towering cheesecake, served with a lot of crackers, fruit, and chutneys.

"Our favorite part of the day was the meal – going for a moment to appear out over the trestle tables and find out all of our favorite people in one location, really enjoying their food!"

After their meal, Nicky and Alex enjoyed a while together, taking a nighttime walk within the magical woodland surrounding Gibson Mill; bursting into glorious, green life near midsummer, and over the stepping stones of Hardcastle Water.

These lovely, intimate moments were sensitively captured by photographer Craig, I just love the appearance and feel of those beautifully composed images.

"Craig did a fantastic job. He was very sensitive, and also the photos were natural – no cheesy poses or overly staged shots. He has a great focus on detail. As well as taking great photos of individuals, he captured plenty of little things – objects, nooks and crannies, and decorations that may have gone unnoticed."

"We also enjoy the way he captured the greenness from the venue, and also got some fantastic outdoor shots, even though it had rained heavily."

Alex wore a deep blue three-piece suit, that they wore had a white shirt and a herringbone pattern tie.

Back in the mill, various friends took turns to DJ, and also the couple's first dance ended up being to Love Chanting by Little Dragon.

"We were both nervous about being the center of attention, and wanted something which would get everyone on the feet!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Make sure you intend the wedding that you would like. Try not to be worried about other people's expectations. It's your entire day."
