Asides the cases of coronavirus, Kano State is currently dealing with a situation of ‘strange deaths’

On the 26th, April 2020, at about 8pm the personal assistant on new media to President Buhari (Bashir Ahmed) brought to his social media account that the mysterious death which took place in KANO that also trend on social media with the tag of "over 600 dead in Kano" is not connected to Coronavirus but strange desease.

According to a statement in his report of the briefed meeting president Buhari had with the minister of health early hour of that day, he noted "Dr. @Chikwe_I, briefed the President on the latest development over the COVID19 in Nigeria and the reported strange disease in Kano".

"At their meeting with President @MBuhari earlier today, Minister of @FMoHNigeria, @DrEOEhanire, and DG of the @NCDCGov, Dr. @Chikwe_I, briefed the President on the latest development over the #COVID19Nigeria and the reported strange disease in Kano", Bashir Ahmed tweet.

Again, other media hubs had further confirmed that the mysterious death in Kano was not the outbreak of COVID-19 through their report of preeminent citizens of Kano State. One those sources was Channel TV that report the speech of The Sarkin Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.

"In a statement on Sunday the Sarkin noted that he was informed by the State’s Ministry of Health that the ‘mysterious’ deaths earlier reported in Kano State were not from COVID-19 as some have alleged. Channel TV

 Another information regards the mysterious deaths was made known yesterday Sunday by the Kano State commissioner of information, Muhammad Garba,  he noted, “Although an investigation into the cause of the deaths is still ongoing, preliminary reports from the state Ministry of Health indicated that the deaths are not connected to the COVID-19 pandemic. Reports have shown that most of the deaths were caused by complications arising from hypertension, diabetes, meningitis, and acute malaria.”

 On Sunday 26 April Kano state governor, Ganduje while speaking to the punch editor, he revealed that "asides the cases of coronavirus, Kano State is currently dealing with a situation of ‘strange deaths’ that has killed over 600 residents. The state government is yet to speak on the cause of the deaths, whether it is #coronavirus related or not".

While the desease persists, it is obvious that the Federal government and Kano state government is yet to attest the cause of the about 600 persons that died in Kano within this period of the Coronavirus be pandemic.

It will be a great confidence to the people of Kano State when they know the cause of the mysterious death that took many lives in Kano recent time. Fear is also a desease!
