Most basic of tools everyone doing smithing needs is RS gold a Hammer. There is no variation of this tool and you don't have to equip an hammer for it to be used. You'll need a tool to make various weapons, equipment or other items out of your bars.
Nearest anvil to bank you will find is in the vicinity of the west Varrock bank. It's a fantastic spot since it is near the Grand Exchange. You will be using Anvils to hammer down bars into something else. Similar to the Anvil, we want to choose one that is close and to the bank. This is what makes Edgeville the best location to utilize the furnace. Utilizing a variety of ores in the Furnace you can smelt them into bars that later are processed to form them into objects.
Among the most important items during smithing, leveling is Coal Bag. You can purchase this item for Prospector Percy Nugget Shop where you can trade your 100 golden nuggets in exchange for this bag. It can hold up 27 (+9 with maximum cape) pieces of Coal. This is very useful in as well Mining and Smithing as carrying greater ores will lead to better exp/money made and 27 slots can be considered another inventory (for Coal, only). Coal Bag is later upgraded using the Skill Cape that you get when you reach the 99 level of Smithing
They are dropped by the Ice Queen that resides in White Wolf Mountain. Even though she is a member of Heroes Quest you do not need to complete or start it to get to her. All you require is the level 50 Mining skill in order to climb certain rocks at the top of the mountain. Ice Gloves are very beneficial in many situations mostly during adventures, but the most important function is in the Blast Furnace.
In Ice Gloves, players can grab hot bars without cooling them prior to using buckets of water. This can greatly increase the both the exp and gold ratios of Blast Furnace. With the addition of inventory slots, you could carry more of your bars at the same time and you don't waste time on using buckets anymore. If you do lose Ice Gloves they can easily be found in the same way you got them. Ice Queen is an easy opponent to kill, and dropping chance is always at 100%.
I'm including it on this list since it's a highly useful item but you need 99 smithing to acquire it. Smithing Cape comes with two advantageous benefits. In the first place, we have 9 extra slots to the Coal Bag which can be a wonderful addition to this already useful item. However we have the perk of Goldsmithing Gauntlets while you are wearing cape. This is very useful while making gold bars in the Blast Furnace as you will be able to use Ice Gloves and not worry about losing your Goldsmithing perk. It gives you a nice boost to gold made.
Be aware that Smithing skill takes lots of running. While you're training, you'll go to many locations like Port Phasmatys, Ardougne, Lumbridge, Falador, Al Kharid, Wilderness so cheap OSRS gold getting items that aid in the process (eg. Graceful Outfit) may reward you with higher xp per hour.
