Original Runelite developer Adam1210 posted his thoughts on OSRS gold commenting that the ability to allow Runelite HD to continue would be beneficial for the future updates that are made by Jagex.

"I do not agree with adding it to the "third parties' guidelines," Adam1210 said. There isn't any disadvantage in any way for having better graphics. And it will only impact you if you turn it on. This is just a misuse of the guidelines. So overall this is really an all-fault for everyone involved and I'd love it if Jagex would take a look at it."

Some fans from this Runelite HD project have taken to a square in Falador in the capital city for one of Runescape's most important kingdoms. They are holding a sit-in demonstration like the protest World of Warcraft players held in July.
