Every component of our couple's day is thoughtfully and touchingly personalized, along with a fusion and celebration of Somali, British and Irish culture – full of color, joy not to mention, and love.

This is the wedding of a vet, who works in education in a school. They celebrated around 6 July 2019 at a historic around the banks. They first met around the dancefloor of the London nightclub, out celebrating a friend's birthday.

"We had two weddings because we've got legally married 30 days before our main wedding. It was great because we've got to experience both – a romantic 'white' wedding around the day from the legal marriage, along with a large, colorful celebration the next month where we're able to have our ceremony precisely the way we wanted. Plus I got to put on two dresses!"

Tamsin's spectacular bridal outfit was by a Somali designer, whose bespoke creations combine traditional Somali bridal prints with Western-style wedding attire.

"I wanted a fusion of Somali traditional wedding gown with the English, which designer was perfect. I loved the shades."

The bridesmaids' yellow cheap bridesmaid dresses with red and gold detailing were from and complemented Tamsin's colorful look beautifully well.

Tamsin walked together with her Mum and bridesmaids with the venue's gardens towards the aisle, where she walked the rest of the way by hand, like a friend playing the didgeridoo. It's so lovely that Tamsin's Mum seemed to be the couple's celebrant for his or her beautifully personalized ceremony.

"We come up with the whole ceremony including our vows ourselves using the help of our family members; sharing music, prayers, and stories. It was beautiful and that we cried a lot from the way through." Here

Abdi wore an incredible floral print tuxedo, so that as he and Tamsin made their vows to one another, additionally they exchanged antique rings chosen in an independent vintage shop in Biggleswade.

Inside the lovely old timber-framed watermill, long tables were laid with white cloths, scattered with dried flower petals, and decorated with log slices which acted as means spray painted gold bottles for flower posies, so that as ingenious place settings, too.

Everyone sat right down to a feast made by the team at Jordans Mill, so when it found the wedding cake, Tamsin's twin sister Beth both baked and decorated a four-tier creation.

"It was stunning and yummy, and super healthy being vegan, sugar, and gluten-free. Beth decorated the wedding cake with more than 100 edible flowers."

After dinner and speeches, the time had come for Tamsin and Abdi's first dance together, plus they chose a song both of them love – All of Me by John Legend, then music from ceilidh band to dance the night time away.

"It's tough to choose a favorite part from the day, however, it was possibly the ceremony (beautiful and moving), the speeches (hilarious) and merely being encompassed by so much love from your friends and family."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"It requires a lot more effort and time to plan a marriage than you'd imagine. It's better to delegate tasks in the early stages. Don't stress out – stay relaxed and relish the process. Make it your personal, not what tradition or other people dictate, and revel in every second of the day since it goes so quickly."
